BENGALURU KEMPEGOWDA

In the year 1537 king of Yelhanka nadu  Kempegowda established this Bengaluru city and never expected this growth. The history of Bangalore is amazing. None of the king in India had this kind of a vision but Kempegowda had the right vision that’s the reason why such a beautiful city came into existence. In the year 1537 around 500 acre was allocated for this Bengaluru city, but today its grown to 100 Sq. Miles.
The credit Bengaluru’s growth goes to Kempegowda and their family after that Mysore kings and Diwans worked hard for this city, of them Diwan Sheshadhari, Sir. M.Visveshwariah and Mirja Ismail were the main architects for this growth. But the works of Mr. Mirja Ismail made this city an wonderful place to live for all of us. Lal bhag was established by Hyderali and later Tippu Sultan developed it after his death the entire administration came under British and converted it to Botonical Gardens in 1806. Bangalore Cantonment was also established during this period. Government of India approved Bangalore Corporation in 1862 and in the year 1949 December 8th Bangalore City Corporation was established.
November 1st is celebrated as Karnataka Rajyotsava day. On the same day Corporation day and Kempegowda day is also celebrated by Government of Karnataka to give respect to Kempegowda. Kempa Bhopathi and Chennambe’s eldest son is Kempegowda, he was born in Yelhanka nadu. During Kempa Bhopathi’s period Yelhanka nadu was big and his subjects were happy and inturn kept their king happy by paying their part of taxes on time. Kempa bhupati was very loyal to vijayanagar kings. Kempa Bhupati’s eldest son Kempegowda was also like him. Always being honest and a hard working human. Both father and son loved their citizens more than anything. As usual at the age of 9 Kempe gowda joined gurukula system of education at Ivara kandupura. Kempegowda forgot that he is a son of a king. He completed his studies like an ordinary poor student in a span of 10 years and was a topper student in his batch.
After coming back to Yelhanka, he married to Chennamayambe from a place called Shivana Samudra and there after he became the king of Yelhanka.
Last days of Kempegowda:
In the year 1565 vijayanagar empire disintegrated and King of Yelhanka could not tolerate this along with this his son-in-law was killed by southern sultans, and went to deep depression after which he lived for 4 more years and left us all in the year 1569.
There was lot of hard work of many people after Kempegowda. Lets all save this beautiful Bengaluru city and make a pollution free city for all of us to live in.
Bengaluru Airport is named after this great man so its called as KEMPEGOWDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
